Celebrating the People of Derbyshire

We Are All Derbyshire Has Reached its End

After months of nomination events, choosing people for the collection from the nominations, meeting with them for portrait sittings, creating the portraits and getting them framed, meeting with venues, and exhibiting across the county, the project has reached its end.

With hundreds of nominations and totalling almost two thousand visitors to the exhibitions, plus engagement from BBC Radio Derby listeners, County Council newsletter readers, website visitors, and attendees at public talks, the project has been a huge success. Visitors have said how uplifting it has been to read about the good in mankind and see it represented through the collection of portraits spotlighting Derbyshire people.
